Ryder, Mazzeo & Konieczny (RMK) is devoted exclusively to the practice of Intellectual Property Law including patent, copyright, trademark, computer, regulatory, Internet, trade secret, and related issues. RMK is a full-service Intellectual Property law firm that provides the complete array of IP legal services including litigation, prosecution, procurement, and licensing.  Intellectual Property Litigation – Through our litigation practice, we prosecute in federal and state court patent, copyright and trademark infringers, domain name squatters, counterfeiters, trade secret thieves, non-compliant former employees, and other unfair competitors. In appropriate circumstances, we will initially obtain a temporary restraining order and/or preliminary injunction to immediately enjoin such unlawful behavior. We will thereafter obtain a permanent injunction and monetary damages on behalf of our client. We also defend clients in federal and state court that have been wrongfully accused of infringing or misappropriating the intellectual property of third parties.

 Intellectual Property Prosecution – Through our U.S. prosecution practice, we prosecute patent, copyright and trademark applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office and the U.S. Copyright Office. We work with inventors, designers, artists, musicians, publishers, and marketers to protect and perfect their intellectual property rights in the U.S. Our attorneys have the necessary scientific background and training to understand the theory behind each invention.

 International IP Protection – Our prosecution expertise and practice extends to protecting and perfecting our client’s intellectual property rights throughout the world. We develop and maintain international IP portfolios worldwide for both our domestic and international clients. RMK prosecutes international patent and trademark applications through various regional and world tribunals including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), European Patent Office (EPO) and the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM), and through the national patent and trademark offices of nearly every major industrial country Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. We also coordinate multinational disputes, both to ensure that the U.S. litigation, which is our primary responsibility, is not compromised by events in other countries, and to assist counsel in foreign tribunals to present the most effective claims and defenses.

 Intellectual Property Procurement and Licensing – Through our procurement and licensing practice, we counsel clients regarding intellectual property rights and strategies, procure IP rights from third parties to enhance our client’s IP portfolio, and negotiate intellectual property licenses with third parties to maximize revenue.

REFERRALS

We are a regional firm with offices located in Bucks and Montgomery counties. We accept direct referrals from general practice attorneys with the understanding that our representation is limited to intellectual property matters. We also partner with general practice attorneys in co-counsel relationships when IP issues are intertwined with issues outside our area of expertise. We offer referral fees that vary depending on our scope of representation.
